Traditionally, hospital pharmacists have not played a large role in the Advanced Cardiac Life Support team. However, this is changing around the country, as pharmacists take up a variety of ACLS duties, including team leadership.

This video examines the current position of hospital pharmacists in ACLS, their growing responsibilities, and the opportunities for and barriers to the expansion of that role in the future.

The program also examines the most recently published American Heart Association ACLS guidelines, highlighting new and devloping drug therapies in considerable detail.
